道光十五年（1835年），两江总督陶澍晋京觐见奏报政务后，讲述湖南家乡“有石出于潭心，方正若印，名曰印心石”，及幼年随父“结屋读书之上”之事。[旅游联盟2008-11-18提供：旅游资源大全，免费旅游交易平台，旅游社区，旅游软件，www.tourunion.com]道光帝很感兴趣，即书大小两方“印心石屋”匾额赐之，陶澍即在两江总督署内刻石树匾。[旅游联盟2008-11-18提供：旅游资源大全，免费旅游交易平台，旅游社区，旅游软件，www.tourunion.com] 　　In 1835, the Liangjiang Governor-general Tao Shu went to Beijing for reporting his work to the Emperor Dao Guang. He told the Emperor that there was a square stone at the center of a pond in his hometown in Hunan province, which was shaped like a seal and so called "Yin Xin Shi (the Mutual Affinity Stone)" and his father built a small house on it for reading books. The Emperor was interested in this story and presented Mr.Tao Shu his handwriting of "Yin Xin Shi Wu(the House of the Mutual Affinity Stone)" . After returning, Mr. Tao erected the stone tablet in the garden of the Liangjing Governor-general Yamen, carved with the Emperor"s handwriting on it.
